Dana Summers

Dana Summers has never been at a loss as to what to do with his time. As the cartoonist for two nationally syndicated comic strips and an editorial cartoon, he sleeps through the majority of his spare time.

Summers is the creator of the comic strip "Bound & Gagged." He also finds time to co-author a second strip, "The Middletons," with fellow cartoonist Ralph Dunagin. His third job is as a nationally syndicated editorial cartoonist for TMS.
 

Summers was the edtorial cartoonist for The Orlando Sentinel from 1982-2012. Prior to the Sentinel, Summers enjoyed success as an editorial cartoonist with the Dayton (Ohio) Journal Herald, with prior stints at the Fayetteville (N.C.) Times and as a freelancer for newspapers in Massachusetts.

Summers is a 1971 graduate of the Art Institute in Boston. He has won awards from the Overseas Press Club and the Sigma Delta Chi Society of Professional Journalists. Born in Lawrence, Mass., Summers currently resides in Orlando, Fla. with his wife, Mary Jane.
