Dave Blazek
Dave Blazek creates the comic panel "Loose Parts," syndicated by Tribune Media Services. He is an award-winning advertising, creative, as well as a comedy writer and former stand-up comic. He currently works as senior creative producer at The Philadelphia Inquirer and the Philadelphia Daily News.
Blazek writes and directs print and radio ads as well as television commercials for national, regional and local clients. His work has won more than 120 local, national and international awards. His previous comic strips include "Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist" for Comedy Central. Blazek has published two collections of "Loose Parts" cartoons including, "Loose Upon The World" and "Parts of My Brain."
Blazek graduated from Penn State University with a degree in journalism. He has also performed at comedy clubs in and around Philadelphia.
Blazek plays the piano, runs like a fool, skis, kayaks and hikes. He lives outside Philaldelphia on the edge of Valley Forge National Park with his wife and two daughters.
