Joyce Nichols Lewis has been editing the Los Angeles Syndicate Sunday Crossword Puzzle since 1978.
Lewis, who received her training from Margaret Farrar, the grande dame of crossword puzzle editing, is the daughter of the late Maynard Nichols, the renowned crossword puzzle editor who for many years had been in partnership with Mrs. Farrar.
