Taylor Jones
Taylor Jones, admittedly, is a funny-looking guy. He views the world much in the same way people view him: in caricature.
Each week, Taylor provides subscribers with three or four caricatures that are also commentaries on politics, entertainment, business or sports. He promises to let no one get away unscathed.
Taylor drew caricatures for the Los Angeles Times Syndicate before joining Tribune Media Services. Among his clients are The Chicago Tribune, the Los Angeles Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Seattle Times and many other dailies. Abroad, Taylor's caricatures appear in publications such as Ma' Ariv (Israel), Courrier Internationale (France), and El Mercurio (Chile).
Taylor has been a frequent contributor to The New Republic and U.S. News & World Report, and is currently the illustrator for Hoover Digest, the public policy journal of Stanford University's Hoover Institution. Taylor also caricatures local politicians for El Nuevo Da, Puerto Rico's largest newspaper.
Jones has written and illustrated “Add-Verse to Presidents,” a satirical look at the presidency from Washington to Reagan. He has also illustrated a series of books on the language of sports, including “How To Talk Baseball” and “How To Talk Golf.” His more unusual freelance assignments have included designing a prop for a skit on “Saturday Night Live,” and designing a beach towel for Comedy Central.
