Tony Tallarico
For more than 25 years, Tony Tallarico has created word puzzles and activity books for both children and adults. He currently authors the popular features "MagicWord," "Trivia Maze" and "Word Salsa," syndicated to newspapers by Tribune Media Services.
Tallarico and his father, Anthony, also an illustrator and writer, have written hundreds of activity books published by Kidsbooks Inc., Price Stern Sloan, Modern Publishing, Simon & Schuster, Dover Publications and Tuffy Books. Tallarico has also worked on the popular features "Trivia Treat" and "Spot-A-Pix," which appeared in weekly papers across the country.
Tallarico, a keyboardist/musician for 26 years, came up with the idea for "Word Salsa" -- a bilingual word search game -- while touring the country performing concerts. He noticed how few newspapers consistently reflected the Hispanic population and felt compelled to create a feature that would interest both English- and Spanish-speaking readers.
A history buff, Tallarico is also the creator and Webmaster of the popular Web site ThisDayInDisneyHistory.com.
